Colors, music and good humor: This is how Santa Eulalia celebrated Carnival 2025

Despite the unsettled weather with threatening rain and cooler temperatures, the residents of Santa Eulària Don't spoil the carnival. More than 800 participants from 22 groups ensured a colorful parade full of creativity, fun and social statements.

Recycling and consumer criticism in focus

A special highlight was the group Deixalleros, which drew attention to excessive consumption in the textile industry. They took third place in the adult category and received the special prize for recycling. With a specially rewritten Slowly-Song, they called for a more responsible approach to clothing.

Carnival as a mouthpiece for environmental and social concerns

In addition to cheerful costumes, the carnival was also a sign of protest. The Fundació Deixalles, for example, took up the theme La roba ens menja for more awareness in dealing with fashion. Signs informed that the textile industry produces more CO₂ than sea and air transport combined.

The group La miel del Carnaval drew attention to itself with a powerful slogan: “Without housing and without beehives, life is difficult for the Ibizans and the bees.” This original performance highlighted the housing crisis on the island.

Creative costumes and original implementations

Paella

The residents' association of Es Pratet caused a stir by dressing up as a giant living paella and parading through the streets with grains of rice, prawns and lemon slices.

The Tanzschule Lorena Riera relied on powerful images with a Viking theme: her group presented itself with a float in the shape of a boat and typical Viking accessories.

CEIP Jesús, on the other hand, focused on protecting the oceans. Children in turtle, puffer fish and diver costumes, as well as a large whale on a float, underlined the message “Take care of the ocean.”

From fair to Monopoly – a spectacle full of ideas

CEIP Sant Ciriac transformed its group into a colorful traveling fair. Carousel horses, bumper cars and fairground cones danced to “Cuanto más acelero” by Javi Cantero.

The JV Dance Academy brought pace to the parade with a Formula 1 theme: a float with a Ferrari and dancers dressed as race hostesses created racing fever.

Arabipoly

The group was particularly celebrated Arabipoly, which brought the well-known board game Monopoly to the streets in a Santa Eulària version. With self-designed banknotes, playing fields and a "prison" for thieves, they set a humorous accent.

Carnival in Santa Eulària: More than just a festival

This year's carnival in Santa Eulària impressively demonstrated that a parade is not just a collection of pretty costumes. Through creative performances and powerful messages, the event became a mouthpiece for important issues such as environmental awareness, social cohesion and criticism of consumerism - all with a large portion of joy and imagination.

Flightright – When passenger rights simply work

Flight delays, cancellations, or overbookings are unfortunately not uncommon. However, many passengers are unaware that they are entitled to compensation in such cases – and even fewer know how to pursue it. This is precisely where Flight right comes into play: a pioneer among legal tech companies and market leader in the field of air passenger rights.

Specialist in EU passenger rights since 2010

Since its founding in 2010, Flightright has pursued a clear goal: to help passengers assert their rights against airlines – quickly, easily, and risk-free. The legal basis for this is the EU Air Passenger Rights Regulation 261/2004, which, among other things, provides compensation of up to 600 euros for flight problems.

How Flightright works

Using the service is incredibly simple: Affected parties enter the key details of their flight online – within a few minutes, the system automatically checks whether a claim exists. If so, Flightright handles the entire process with the airline, including all legal steps. Even court proceedings can be conducted upon request – at no additional cost to the customer.

The highlight: Payment is only made if the claim is successful. If no payout is made, there are no costs. If compensation is successful, Flightright retains a commission from the compensation amount. This model ensures maximum fairness and transparency.

Retroactive up to three years possible

Many people don’t know that even flights that took place in the past can still be compensated – usually up to three years retroactively. It is therefore worthwhile to have older cases reviewed again.

How much is the compensation?

The amount of compensation depends on the flight route:

  • EUR 250 for short distances up to 1.500 km
  • EUR 400 for medium-haul flights between 1.500 km and 3.500 km
  • EUR 600 for long distances over 3.500 km

This usually requires an arrival delay of at least three hours – or a flight cancelled at short notice for which the airline is responsible.

Why Flightright?

What sets Flightright apart is not only its fair success model, but also its impressive success rate of around 99% in legal proceedings. With over 600 million euros in compensation payments enforced Flightright is one of the absolute pioneers in Europe.

The provider also scores points with transparent communication: The status of the case can be viewed online at any time – conveniently from the sofa or on the go via smartphone.

For all those who do not want to be left with the damage

No one should forgo their right to compensation just because the process seems complicated. With Flightright, asserting your rights is child's play – without any stress, paperwork, or legal fees. Anyone who has experienced flight trouble can now easily protect themselves and have their compensation pursued professionally.

Check here whether you are entitled to money – and in the best case scenario, receive compensation soon
