Sun, Art & Crafts – The Fira Artesanal 2025 in Pictures
The Puig de Missa in Santa Eulària was once again transformed into a lively centre of traditions and craftsmanship. February 16rd 2025 found the popular Fira Artesanal and attracted hundreds of visitors. More than 60 stalls presented an impressive variety of handmade products, from artistic ceramics to delicate jewelry and traditional textiles. The event not only provided a platform for artisans, but also celebrated the island's cultural heritage.
Ceremonial opening and impressive performances
The mass began traditionally at 11:00 am with a solemn mass in the church of the Puig de Missa. At 12:00 the official opening took place, accompanied by the impressive sounds of the Dimonis, who started the festival with drum beats. The Ball Pagès, the traditional peasant dance of Ibiza, was also a must and thrilled the audience with its powerful and celebratory performance.
The artisans and their works
Among the numerous stands, there were many experienced artisans presenting their unique skills. Particularly noteworthy was the presentation of the Mestres d'Aixa, the traditional boat builders. Two artisans restored a small boat live and informed the visitors about their work on the Queen of the sea, a sailing ship from 1909 that is currently being restored.
Another highlight was the esparto grass art stand, where the traditional production of sanallons, hand-woven basket bags and shoes, was demonstrated. One artisan explained: “I learned this art later to make my daughters’ costumes for the Ball Pagès themselves because they were very expensive.” This initiative reflects the spirit of the fair – preserving and passing on tradition.
Musical craftsmanship was also on display: an experienced instrument maker offered his hand-made flautas. "It takes over 30 hours to make a flute, but it not only has to look good, it also has to sound perfect," he explained. His instruments are in demand all over the island and are an indispensable part of Ibizan music.
Tradition and modernity united
In addition to traditional handicrafts, the fair also offered modern elements. Particularly eye-catching were artistic pieces of jewelry made from avocado pits, paintings on juniper wood and handmade natural cosmetics. Another highlight was the exhibition of historic vehicles, where classic automobiles could be admired.
VII. Open-air painting competition and culinary delights
The VII Concurso de Pintura Rápida took place parallel to the craft fair Puig de Missa 2025. Talented artists of all ages captured the atmosphere of the fair and the picturesque backdrop in their works. A young participant who took second place last year hoped to win: "This year I'll try to come first!"
Culinary specialties were also not to be missed: local products such as sobrasada, queso de Maó and homemade lemonade were very popular. Visitors enjoyed traditional company platters in the sun, while the music of drums, castanets and flutes created an authentic Ibizan atmosphere.
A celebration of community and solidarity
The Fira Artesanal was not only a meeting place for artisans, but also a social event. One visitor remarked in surprise: “Do you all know each other here?” The answer is simple: In Santa Eulària everyone feels like one big family. The fair offered opportunities to exchange ideas, get advice and, above all, to experience Ibizan culture together.
Lack of parking spaces and anticipation of next year
The high number of visitors brought the parking situation around the Puig de Missa to their limits. But despite this small challenge, the mood was consistently positive. The Fira Artesanal 2025 was a complete success and underlined once again the importance of this event for Santa Eulària and completely Ibiza.

Flightright – When passenger rights simply work
Flight delays, cancellations, or overbookings are unfortunately not uncommon. However, many passengers are unaware that they are entitled to compensation in such cases – and even fewer know how to pursue it. This is precisely where Flight right comes into play: a pioneer among legal tech companies and market leader in the field of air passenger rights.
Specialist in EU passenger rights since 2010
Since its founding in 2010, Flightright has pursued a clear goal: to help passengers assert their rights against airlines – quickly, easily, and risk-free. The legal basis for this is the EU Air Passenger Rights Regulation 261/2004, which, among other things, provides compensation of up to 600 euros for flight problems.
How Flightright works
Using the service is incredibly simple: Affected parties enter the key details of their flight online – within a few minutes, the system automatically checks whether a claim exists. If so, Flightright handles the entire process with the airline, including all legal steps. Even court proceedings can be conducted upon request – at no additional cost to the customer.
The highlight: Payment is only made if the claim is successful. If no payout is made, there are no costs. If compensation is successful, Flightright retains a commission from the compensation amount. This model ensures maximum fairness and transparency.
Retroactive up to three years possible
Many people don’t know that even flights that took place in the past can still be compensated – usually up to three years retroactively. It is therefore worthwhile to have older cases reviewed again.
How much is the compensation?
The amount of compensation depends on the flight route:
- EUR 250 for short distances up to 1.500 km
- EUR 400 for medium-haul flights between 1.500 km and 3.500 km
- EUR 600 for long distances over 3.500 km
This usually requires an arrival delay of at least three hours – or a flight cancelled at short notice for which the airline is responsible.
Why Flightright?
What sets Flightright apart is not only its fair success model, but also its impressive success rate of around 99% in legal proceedings. With over 600 million euros in compensation payments enforced Flightright is one of the absolute pioneers in Europe.
The provider also scores points with transparent communication: The status of the case can be viewed online at any time – conveniently from the sofa or on the go via smartphone.
For all those who do not want to be left with the damage
No one should forgo their right to compensation just because the process seems complicated. With Flightright, asserting your rights is child's play – without any stress, paperwork, or legal fees. Anyone who has experienced flight trouble can now easily protect themselves and have their compensation pursued professionally.
