People from Ibiza: Markus Munk
A German lawyer and his way to Ibiza
In the summer of 1999 it happened Markus Munk together with his then Spanish wife and his son on the way to Ibiza. The island, famous for its vibrant atmosphere and picturesque beaches, was to be her new home. The decision was made when the wife of Markus received a transfer as a teacher to Ibiza, a step they had previously applied for together. Together they explored summer 1999 their potential new home before they moved at the end of the year Talamanca and then to the center of Ibiza town.
Markus Munk's first impression of Ibiza was shaped by the idea that his son would have the best possible upbringing on the island, while he himself would quickly find work. This idea turned out to be true, and he soon found his professional home on the island. At that time, he remembers, the unmistakable "Ibiza flair" that characterized the island was still clearly noticeable.
Ende November 1999 Markus Munk finally moved to Ibiza and a few years later, in 2004, started his own law firm, the Max European Management & Consulting SL self-employed. Since then he has been on German-speaking clients from Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but also serves an international clientele, including English, Dutch and French.
However, over the years Ibiza has changed, as Markus has observed. The former “Ibiza flair“ has almost disappeared, and the island has undergone a constant transformation. The massive construction of real estate and the increasing number of visitors have changed life on the island, especially in summer. Original and quaint places are becoming rarer, while in some places Moon prices demands that are not always justified.
If you select Markus Munk during the day Ibiza If you want to meet someone, it's worth a visit Prince in Figueretas or in Zaguan and the "Garage 68“ in Calle Aragon, his favorite cafes and restaurants on the island. But despite his love for Ibiza, there are also things that he doesn't like. The increasing hectic pace, the growing traffic and the sometimes excessive prices in some restaurants are a thorn in his side.
Nevertheless, Markus Munk remains loyal to his new home and has a special connection to the football world of Ibiza, in particular UD DisasterFor him, Ibiza is more than just an island – it is a place where he professional and personal home has found.
