On Saturday, the 17 May 2025, the Rathausplatz from Sant Josep de sa Talaia into a small potato paradise. At the second edition of the Ibiza Potato Fair The popular tuber from Ibiza takes center stage – accompanied by a diverse culinary and cultural program. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. and invites visitors to a day of enjoyment dedicated entirely to regional agriculture.

🍽️ Culinary program
A tapa competition starts at 12:00, with eight restaurants serving creative potato dishes for €6 each:
- Es Galliner
- Sa Cuineta
- The spike
- Can Bernat Vinya
- Paulis Bakes
- Bar Centre de Majors
- Can Limo
- Racó Verd
The competition is accompanied by various cooking shows and demonstrations:
- 11: 00-14: 00 a.m .: Live cooking with a focus on sustainable cuisine and traditional potato recipes
- 12:00 pm: Show “Patata i cuina d'aprofitament: Zero Food Waste” with Herbusa and Ester Vila
- 13:00 pm: Lecture by Dr. Irene Roth on the health benefits of potatoes
There is also something for children: an open workshop led by chef Maria Solivellas will show the little ones how to conjure up sweet desserts from potatoes.
🌱 Agricultural highlight
This year's potato harvest has been underway since the end of April and is expected to last until mid-June. Around 125 tons of red and white potatoes are expected – a proud symbol of the importance of cultivation on the island. Joan Marí, Director of Rural Affairs, emphasizes the role of the potato as a symbol of sustainable and local agriculture.
