A piece of Ibiza history comes to life: On 8 May 2025 The legendary El Clodenis in San Rafael is celebrating its grand comeback. After a seven-year hiatus, the iconic Restaurant with a spectacular vision that reinterprets the origins of taste – creative, sensual and full of cultural depth.
A culinary concept between past and present
The over 300-year-old property next to the San Rafael Church combines Mexican-Mediterranean cuisine with authentic techniques and ingredients in its revival. The new kitchen draws on pre-Columbian cooking methods and combines them with fresh ideas, creating dishes like aguachile, ceviche, antojitos, and red corn tortillas with wild tuna and bone marrow.
Cevichería, Tartar Bar & Mezcaloteque
At the heart of the gastronomic experience is an open kitchen with a cevichería and tartar bar. Fresh, authentic dishes are prepared live – from vegetarian aguachile to ribs braised in cacao for up to 12 hours. This is complemented by the exclusive "Mezcaloteque," a curated collection of high-quality mezcals from small producers in Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Guanajuato.
Mixology meets healing art
The bar concept at El Clodenis stands out for its creative "Barmarcia" – a fusion of pharmacy and mixology. Macerations, distillations, and herbal extracts combine to create exceptional cocktails. In addition to new signature drinks, the menu also features classic old-school cocktails. All of this is accompanied by a wine selection featuring natural, organic, and biodynamic wines.
The magic of home & garden
El Clodenis is more than a restaurant—it's a multisensory experience. The historic building complex, dating back to 1725, is now a space for art, video installations, and creative events. At night, the garden invites you to host private parties under the starry sky, creating an incomparable ambiance.
