Update from June 18, 2025 – In recent days, rumors have been circulating in Ibiza that the popular chiringuito at Cala Llenya has been sold and will be operated as an exclusive beach club in the future. Now, the municipality of Santa Eulària has clarified the situation: the concession will remain with the current operating family, and a beach club is neither planned nor permitted.
The new allocation of the kiosk space – so-called Lot 51 – was made, as usual, through a regular tender process, in which interested parties could apply. The contract was once again awarded to the family that has run the kiosk with great dedication for years, transforming it into a relaxed meeting place for locals and holidaymakers.
The municipality expressly emphasizes that the coastal concept of Santa Eulària is based on Family-friendly, nature-oriented and accessible beach facilities High-priced, exclusive beach clubs don't fit this philosophy and are not planned for the area. Cala Llenya should remain a place for everyone – quiet, charming, and authentic.
