Transport or moving from Germany to Ibiza

A move or transport of Germany to Ibiza can be a real challenge – whether it's moving furniture, bicycles, or even entire households. Fortunately, there are moving companies and transporters who specialize in this route. Of course, they don't drive empty on the return trip to Germany and can also take cargo with them. In this article, we share our own experiences and offer valuable tips for a smooth transport.

The route: Ferries and transport routes

Most shipments are made by ferry from Ibiza to Barcelona. The route via Denia or Valencia is less frequently chosen, as this is faster by sea but involves higher costs on the highways. From Barcelona, the journey continues by truck to Germany. Therefore, anyone planning to transport their own goods should find out about the best routes and ferry connections well in advance.

Experience report: Our transport with Black Line Transporte

Sometimes there are things that are difficult to obtain in Ibiza. In our case, it was a simple mirror cabinet for the bathroom that we found at Segmüller in Weiterstadt. Since delivery abroad wasn't possible, we chose Click & Collect and paid for the cabinet via PayPal. As soon as Segmüller sent us the pickup notification, we forwarded it to Bert Pletsch from Black Line Transports He picked up the cabinet in Weiterstadt on his way from Germany to Ibiza, and two days later we were able to hang it in our bathroom in Santa Eulalia. His van was packed to the brim with boxes, furniture, bicycles, and much more.

Our conclusion? Everything went well!

Further experiences with CARGOTIGER

We already had bicycles transported from Darmstadt to Ibiza in 2019. At that time, we used the service of CARGOTIGER from Berlin. You can find more information in our old blog Ibiza Magic This company also provided reliable service and proved to be a helpful transportation solution.

Tips for a successful transport or move

If you are planning to transport yourself, there are a few things to consider:

  1. Early planning: Especially during peak season, carriers are often fully booked. Booking early can avoid waiting times.
  2. Save costs: Freight forwarders often offer additional loads so that you don't have to pay for the entire transport.
  3. Use relocation services: In addition to the transport itself, there are agencies that take care of the entire move, including dealing with authorities and finding an apartment.
  4. Private transport: Some Ibiza residents or holidaymakers offer private transportation. These can be cheaper but often require more flexibility.
  5. Use Facebook groups: In groups like Ibiza residents and holidaymakers or German Ibiza group You can search for suitable transport options or post your own requests. Simply enter the word Transport input!

Flightright – When passenger rights simply work

Flight delays, cancellations, or overbookings are unfortunately not uncommon. However, many passengers are unaware that they are entitled to compensation in such cases – and even fewer know how to pursue it. This is precisely where Flight right comes into play: a pioneer among legal tech companies and market leader in the field of air passenger rights.

Specialist in EU passenger rights since 2010

Since its founding in 2010, Flightright has pursued a clear goal: to help passengers assert their rights against airlines – quickly, easily, and risk-free. The legal basis for this is the EU Air Passenger Rights Regulation 261/2004, which, among other things, provides compensation of up to 600 euros for flight problems.

How Flightright works

Using the service is incredibly simple: Affected parties enter the key details of their flight online – within a few minutes, the system automatically checks whether a claim exists. If so, Flightright handles the entire process with the airline, including all legal steps. Even court proceedings can be conducted upon request – at no additional cost to the customer.

The highlight: Payment is only made if the claim is successful. If no payout is made, there are no costs. If compensation is successful, Flightright retains a commission from the compensation amount. This model ensures maximum fairness and transparency.

Retroactive up to three years possible

Many people don’t know that even flights that took place in the past can still be compensated – usually up to three years retroactively. It is therefore worthwhile to have older cases reviewed again.

How much is the compensation?

The amount of compensation depends on the flight route:

  • EUR 250 for short distances up to 1.500 km
  • EUR 400 for medium-haul flights between 1.500 km and 3.500 km
  • EUR 600 for long distances over 3.500 km

This usually requires an arrival delay of at least three hours – or a flight cancelled at short notice for which the airline is responsible.

Why Flightright?

What sets Flightright apart is not only its fair success model, but also its impressive success rate of around 99% in legal proceedings. With over 600 million euros in compensation payments enforced Flightright is one of the absolute pioneers in Europe.

The provider also scores points with transparent communication: The status of the case can be viewed online at any time – conveniently from the sofa or on the go via smartphone.

For all those who do not want to be left with the damage

No one should forgo their right to compensation just because the process seems complicated. With Flightright, asserting your rights is child's play – without any stress, paperwork, or legal fees. Anyone who has experienced flight trouble can now easily protect themselves and have their compensation pursued professionally.

Check here whether you are entitled to money – and in the best case scenario, receive compensation soon
