Magnificent view over Ibiza at the Mirador de Ibiza
The Mirador de Ibiza, a popular viewing point on the island, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding areas. Despite its popularity, there are no cafes or bars directly at the viewpoint, which may surprise some visitors. Instead, visitors can easily drive to the viewpoint without having to climb the 220 steps of the stairs. Nevertheless, climbing the stairs is a popular activity for athletes who value the challenge and the training.
The view from Mirador de Ibiza stretches from Jesús to Las Salinas and includes Ibiza Town, Playa d'en Bossa and even FormenteraFrom the viewing platform you can see not only the Eivissa football stadium, the hospital and the airport, but also the old town of dalt vila, Talamanca and even the salt lakes. The stairs are already visible from the left side of the highway when you come from the airport and drive towards the old town.

Despite its easy accessibility, the Mirador de Ibiza a worthwhile experience with beautiful views, both during the day and at night. However, there is criticism of the stairs, especially from residents of the Cas Mut district between Vila and Sant Jordi. Some describe them as "a wound in the mountains“because it changes the landscape.
Work on the stairs began in January 2018 and was the start of a series of developments in the district Cas Courage, including the creation of new houses, villas and apartments on the hillside. Cas Mut is one of the most sought-after and exclusive urbanizations on Ibiza, which offers spectacular views of dalt vila, Playa d'en Bossa and Salinas offers.

Unfortunately, the success of the... Mirador de Ibiza also its dark sides. The stairs have often been dirty and sprayed with graffiti, leading to several renovations. A railing was even installed for safety reasons. Nevertheless, athletes appreciate the stairs as a training opportunity and many visitors also come to the viewing point in the evenings and at night to admire the illuminated city and the castle.
