The Santa Eulària marina is planning a new buoy field with 15 moorings for boats from eight to 20 meters in length. The reason for this is the uncontrolled anchoring in the bay, where up to 24 boats can congregate at the same time during peak season, creating safety risks. Instead of conventional concrete anchors, artificial biotopes will be used to protect the seabed and provide habitat for marine animals. The expansion will increase the total number of buoy moorings on Ibiza to 3.766, with the majority of the new moorings planned for Portinatx. According to an environmental study, the impact is minimal, and the limit of 15 boats will also reduce the impact on the landscape.

The port will be transformed into a giant dance floor for one night, overlooking the old town. The event is presented in collaboration with Pacha, the Port Authority, and the city council.
• Artist Cindy Houdini has created a work of art depicting Ibiza with a fictional metro network. The imaginative map includes stops at familiar locations such as Matutes, Es Vedrá, and Disco, and even a line to the ferry terminal. • The organization People for Formentera (GxF) warns of a sharp increase in illegal camping on the island. Campers and motorhomes, in particular, are reportedly setting up camp in coastal areas and protected natural zones, despite municipal regulations prohibiting this. One example is the presence of vehicles at the port of La Savina, which are also alleged to be violating Formentera.eco regulations. It also criticizes the fact that the Insular Council no longer publishes weekly reports on proposed fines. GxF is calling for stricter controls and tougher measures to protect the environment.
• Ibiza's public transport system is facing a fundamental modernization. Starting November 1, Alsa will take over bus operations from Sagalés and launch a new concession. Plans include more routes, more frequent service, and more environmentally friendly vehicles, initially in a transitional phase. Within nine months, the entire fleet will be renewed and converted entirely to electric propulsion in the Ibiza metropolitan area. A GPS system will enable real-time monitoring of punctuality, and an app will show passengers the location of the buses.

• In Ibiza yesterday, a drunk driver under the influence of drugs lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a shop window. The collision ended at around 3 a.m. on Bartolomé Roselló Street after the vehicle first struck sidewalks and parked cars. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, as no pedestrians were crossing the street. Subsequent alcohol and drug tests returned positive results, and the driver is under investigation. Police emphasized the high risk of driving at such times and while under the influence.
