Fira del Peix i Marisc in Sant Antoni – experience a piece of real Ibiza
Fresh from the sea to your plate – that was exactly what the second edition of the Fish and Seafood Fair in Sant Antoni. Last Saturday, everything along Passeig de la Mar was all about freshly caught fish and seafood from Ibiza – a feast for all the senses that attracted not only locals but also numerous visitors.
Focus on local products
The aim of the event was to highlight local fishing and showcase the diversity of products caught directly off Ibiza's coast. While menus often only feature salmon, sea bream, or mussels, the sea around the island offers a rich variety that many are still unaware of.
Delicacies at fair prices
Several stalls offered delicious dishes, including fried red prawns, boiled langoustines, and white prawns, as well as marinated fish such as albacore, barracuda, and seriola. Creative interpretations, such as croquettes made from the traditional bullit de peix or paella with corvina, artichokes, and cuttlefish, were also on display. Program. The small portions at fair prices were particularly popular – ideal for tasting and enjoying.
Surprise from the sea
A highlight was the Fishermen's Guild stand, which offered three different dishes – all prepared with freshly caught fish from the island's waters. Surprisingly, the white shrimp, originally native to southern Spain, is now also more common in the Balearic waters – a sign of the changes in the sea.
Enjoyment in a maritime atmosphere
The atmosphere was familiar and lively. Benches and tables were set up between the stalls, where excursions are usually offered in the summer, where visitors could enjoy their food. In many conversations, it became clear that awareness of the quality of local products is growing – and that dishes like the often underrated gerret (a small but tasty species of fish) are beginning to attract a new audience.
More than fish: variety of local products
Beyond the fish dishes, the Fira also presented itself as a showcase of Ibizan culinary culture. Several stalls offered typical products from the island – including artisanal cheeses, air-dried sausages, local liqueurs, pickled specialties, and traditional sweets and pastries.
The combination of maritime delicacies and savory-sweet treats underlined the holistic aim of the event: to showcase Ibiza as an island with a diverse culinary identity – fresh, local and authentic.
Handmade, local and with passion
In addition to culinary delights, the Fira also offered a glimpse into the island's creative output. At various booths, artisans presented their products – from handmade jewelry and artfully decorated ceramics to natural cosmetics and sustainable textiles. All crafted with great attention to detail and the island's unique style.
The event became not only a feast for the palate, but also a meeting place for all those seeking an authentic Ibiza feeling – off the beaten track, but very close to the roots of the island culture.
A feast for the senses – and the island
The Fish and Seafood Fair is not only a culinary event, but also a cultural statement: It commemorates Ibiza's long tradition of fishing and simultaneously whets the appetite for more regional produce on the plate – and in everyday life. Those who attended this year will fondly remember the festival – and are already looking forward to the next edition.

Flightright – When passenger rights simply work
Flight delays, cancellations, or overbookings are unfortunately not uncommon. However, many passengers are unaware that they are entitled to compensation in such cases – and even fewer know how to pursue it. This is precisely where Flight right comes into play: a pioneer among legal tech companies and market leader in the field of air passenger rights.
Specialist in EU passenger rights since 2010
Since its founding in 2010, Flightright has pursued a clear goal: to help passengers assert their rights against airlines – quickly, easily, and risk-free. The legal basis for this is the EU Air Passenger Rights Regulation 261/2004, which, among other things, provides compensation of up to 600 euros for flight problems.
How Flightright works
Using the service is incredibly simple: Affected parties enter the key details of their flight online – within a few minutes, the system automatically checks whether a claim exists. If so, Flightright handles the entire process with the airline, including all legal steps. Even court proceedings can be conducted upon request – at no additional cost to the customer.
The highlight: Payment is only made if the claim is successful. If no payout is made, there are no costs. If compensation is successful, Flightright retains a commission from the compensation amount. This model ensures maximum fairness and transparency.
Retroactive up to three years possible
Many people don’t know that even flights that took place in the past can still be compensated – usually up to three years retroactively. It is therefore worthwhile to have older cases reviewed again.
How much is the compensation?
The amount of compensation depends on the flight route:
- EUR 250 for short distances up to 1.500 km
- EUR 400 for medium-haul flights between 1.500 km and 3.500 km
- EUR 600 for long distances over 3.500 km
This usually requires an arrival delay of at least three hours – or a flight cancelled at short notice for which the airline is responsible.
Why Flightright?
What sets Flightright apart is not only its fair success model, but also its impressive success rate of around 99% in legal proceedings. With over 600 million euros in compensation payments enforced Flightright is one of the absolute pioneers in Europe.
The provider also scores points with transparent communication: The status of the case can be viewed online at any time – conveniently from the sofa or on the go via smartphone.
For all those who do not want to be left with the damage
No one should forgo their right to compensation just because the process seems complicated. With Flightright, asserting your rights is child's play – without any stress, paperwork, or legal fees. Anyone who has experienced flight trouble can now easily protect themselves and have their compensation pursued professionally.
